How It Works

Drive to Kings Beach or Tahoe City (20-25 minutes from Everline), rent a paddleboard from one of the waterfront rental operators, and launch directly onto the lake. Beginners receive a brief orientation from rental staff. The lake is calm in the morning and can develop wind in the afternoon - morning paddling is recommended. Life jackets are provided with rentals and are required for young children. No prior experience is needed for flat-water lake paddling.

What To Bring vs. Rent

Boards, paddles, and life jackets are provided by rental operators. Bring: a swimsuit or quick-dry shorts, water shoes or sandals, sunscreen (the reflection off the water amplifies sun exposure), a hat, and water. Leave valuables in the car - you will be on the water.
