Events in Olympic Valley
Annual events at Palisades Tahoe and in the valley throughout the year
Olympic Valley and Palisades Tahoe host events throughout both the ski season and summer - from professional ski races and the High Camp concert series to the Fourth of July and a seasonal farmers market. Major event weekends significantly affect resort availability and should be planned around when booking.
ANNUAL EVENTS
What Happens When
Ski Racing and Competition Events
Palisades Tahoe hosts professional and amateur ski and snowboard competitions throughout the winter season, including mogul events, big air contests, and citizen race series. Spectating is free from the base area. Event days can result in partial terrain closures and larger-than-usual resort crowds.
Check palisadestahoe.com events calendar before booking if you want to avoid competition crowds.
High Camp Concert Series
The aerial tram at Palisades Tahoe operates in summer, and High Camp (8,200 ft) hosts weekend concerts and events. Musical acts range widely. A tram ticket is required for access. Combines well with dinner at the High Camp restaurant and views of the valley.
Tickets available at palisadestahoe.com. Tram is busier on event days - plan arrival accordingly.
Fourth of July
The Fourth of July is one of the highest-demand weeks of the year at Everline Resort. Lake Tahoe North Shore communities hold fireworks displays over the lake. The Valley itself may have events at the Village at Palisades Tahoe. Book accommodations 3-6 months in advance for this holiday.
One of the top 3 busiest weeks of the year - book as early as possible.
Farmers Market
A seasonal farmers market operates in the area during summer, typically on weekend mornings. Local produce, baked goods, and artisan items. A pleasant morning activity before a pool or hiking day.
