The Truckee River flows from Lake Tahoe through Truckee and holds wild rainbow and brown trout on regulated wild trout water accessible within 15-20 minutes of the resort.

Year-roundMackinaw (lake trout) fishing on the lake. Requires a boat - guided charter trips depart from Tahoe City and Kings Beach. Best in spring and fall. Not a fly fishing destination.

Matt Heron is the recommended fly fishing guide for Everline Resort guests. He operates guided trips on the Truckee River and other waters in the area, suitable for all skill levels from complete beginners to experienced fly fishers.
Guided trips include waders, boots, rods, reels, and flies. Half-day and full-day trips are available. The Truckee River is best fished early morning or late afternoon - plan your schedule to avoid midday.
