Golf at The Links at Everline
An 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. championship course at the base of Palisades Tahoe
The Links at Everline is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., located directly on the Everline Resort property in Olympic Valley. The course plays through the valley floor with views of the Palisades Tahoe mountain peaks on all sides, making it one of the most scenic mountain courses in California.
THE COURSE
About The Links at Everline
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., one of the most prolific golf course architects in history, and opened with the resort in 1990. The layout uses the valley's natural terrain - stream crossings, meadow corridors, and elevation changes - to create a technically demanding but visually stunning round.
At 6,200 feet elevation, the thin mountain air means the ball typically flies 5-10% farther than at sea level. First-time players should account for this when selecting clubs - it catches most golfers by surprise on the first few holes.

What To Expect
Plan your tee time for early morning - conditions are best before the afternoon wind arrives and temperatures are more comfortable. Afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer; the course may close if lightning approaches.
The course is typically open late May through October, depending on snowpack. July and August are peak months for both course condition and visitor volume.

TIPS
Tips for Playing The Links at Everline
Tee Off Early
Morning tee times have the best conditions - calm wind, cooler temperatures, and unobstructed mountain views before any cloud buildup.
Adjust for Elevation
At 6,200 feet, the ball flies farther than you're used to. Club down 1-2 clubs on approach shots until you calibrate. Most golfers over-shoot their first several greens.
Watch the Afternoon Weather
Summer afternoon thunderstorms can develop quickly in the Sierra Nevada. Check the forecast and be prepared to come off the course if lightning approaches.
