How It Works
Participants board a snowcat - a tracked vehicle designed for mountain terrain - and ride up the mountain with a guide. Tours visit areas of the mountain above the chairlift-accessible zones or in terrain that is managed for snowcat access. The guide provides narration about the mountain, snowpack, and ecology. Tours typically last 2-3 hours. No physical fitness requirement beyond being able to board and exit the vehicle.
What To Bring vs. Rent
No special equipment rental required. Dress for winter mountain conditions - layered warm clothing, waterproof outer layer, gloves, hat, and insulated boots. The snowcat provides shelter from wind and cold, but participants may exit the vehicle at viewpoints and should be dressed for outdoor conditions.
