How It Works

Broomball is played on an ice surface in teams, similar in concept to hockey but using brooms and a rubber ball instead of sticks and a puck. Players wear regular shoes (not skates) and the low-traction ice surface adds a fun physical challenge. Teams typically consist of 6 players per side. Equipment is provided. No experience or skills required - the game is accessible to complete beginners and is more about fun than competition. What To Bring vs. Rent

Equipment (brooms, ball) is provided. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes with rubber soles. Dress warmly in layers - you will be active on an ice surface. Gloves are recommended. Athletic sneakers work well; avoid hard-soled dress shoes.
